Abstract: This case report titled; "Physiotherapy INFLUENCE ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF ELDERLY WITH PULMONARY FIBROSIS", was presented at the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security Latacunga. The case of a female patient of 77 years old profession of nursing assistant for 36 years, 30 years and 6 surgical care to patients in the wards is presented, is currently retired since 1999. the interview with the patient concerned that the onset of his illness began around the year 1998, a year before retirement. She goes to a nursing home because of the presence of persistent cough with sneezing that remained throughout the course of the day, it is diagnosed with allergies to dust and gases. In 2002, he was sent into the area of Pneumology in Quito, where he describes was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis and bronchiectasis which is prescribed as Ventolin inhalers. In 2008 the patient was diagnosed with asthma, so treated. During 2009 and 2010, visits to the nursing home are recurrent infections because of the upper airway. In 2012, the month of January comes to internal medicine for presenting asthma attacks, days later, he goes to general medicine for crisis closure of breathing (asthma) again. As important medical notes referred to cough does not mobilize secretions and sent to an electrocardiogram. The November 23, 2012 comes to cardiology for general control, where the diagnostic impression is obesity and chronic ischemic heart disease. En 2013 in the cardiology emphasis on the problem of obesity, ischemic heart disease heart and so the doctor suggested to perform continuous treatment oriented lifestyle changes. The same year in the different views, is still insisting on changing habits as it is not satisfied with the display, while it is also diagnosed with mild pulmonary hypertension. In 2015, he heads the general medicine service, for a general medical examination. With pulmonary fibrosis diagnostic impression and acromegaly.
Description: El presente caso clínico titulado; “INFLUENCIA DEL TRATAMIENTO FISIOTERAPÉUTICO EN LA CALIDAD DE VIDA DE ADULTO MAYOR CON FIBROSIS PULMONAR”, se presentó en el Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social de Latacunga. Se presenta el caso de una paciente de sexo femenino de 77 años de edad, de ocupación auxiliar de enfermería durante 36 años, 30 años en quirófano y 6 en atención a pacientes en las salas, actualmente se encuentra jubilada desde el año de 1999. En la entrevista realizada a la paciente, refiere que el inicio de su padecimiento comenzó aproximadamente en el año de 1998, un año antes de jubilarse. Ella acude a una casa de salud debido a la presencia de tos persistente junto con estornudos que permanecían en todo el transcurso del día, es diagnosticada con alergia al polvo y a gases. En el año 2002, fue remitida hacia el área de neumología en Quito, en donde describe fue diagnosticada con rinitis alérgica y bronquiectasia por lo cual se le prescribe inhaladores como ventolín. En el año 2008 la paciente es diagnosticada con asma, por lo cual recibe tratamiento. En el transcurso de los años 2009 y 2010, sus visitas a la casa de salud son recurrentes a causa de infecciones en la vía respiratoria alta. En el año 2012, el mes de enero acude a medicina interna por presentar ataques de asma, días después, acude a medicina general por crisis de cierre de la respiración (asma) nuevamente. Como notas de importancia el médico refiere que la tos no moviliza secreciones y se envía a realizar un electrocardiograma. El 23 de noviembre del 2012 acude al servicio de cardiología para control general, en donde la impresión diagnóstica es obesidad y enfermedad isquémica crónica del corazón.En el año 2013 en el servicio de cardiología se hace hincapié en el problema de obesidad, la enfermedad isquémica del corazón y por lo cual el médico sugiere realizar un tratamiento continuo orientado a cambios de estilo de vida. El mismo año en las diferentes visitas, se sigue insistiendo en el cambio de hábitos ya que no se cumple con la indicación, al mismo tiempo que es diagnosticada también con hipertensión pulmonar leve. En el año 2015, se dirige al servicio de medicina general, para un examen médico general. Con impresión diagnóstica de fibrosis pulmonar y acromegalia.
